The Township of Tay is located in north Simcoe County on the shores of Severn Sound, better known as Georgian Bay.
Municipal boundaries stretch west from the Wye River east to Waubaushene, south from Vasey Road (County Rd 23) to the shores of Georgian Bay.
Tay Township includes the villages of Port McNicoll, Victoria Harbour, Waubaushene and Waverley.
